North Midlands League
Derby - Markeaton Park

There was an excellent turn out of 32 P.A.C athletes in the North Midlands X-Country League held at Mark Eaton Park. Once again the Women out numbered the Men by a ratio of 2:1.The weather was cold & sunny but very windy, this made the course very dry and fast and good times were posted.
The best performances on the day came from Georgi Freeman who came 2nd in the U13 Girls race, who was assisted by team-mates Amy Haines-Eynon (11th) and Laura Arnold (12th) bringing the Girls team home again in 1st place to keep them top of the league.
The Under 17 Ladies team also kept 1st place in the league, with once again the trio of Sarah Caskey (5th), Lucy Davies (8th), and Laura Burke (10th) coming home in second place overall on the day behind Nene Valley’s Ladies.
In the Under 17 Men, Richard Pawlak (6th) led the team of Matthew Pettit (18th) and Nathan Popple (28th) to 3rd place on the day. Unfortunately P.A.C. had insufficient numbers in the other Male teams with only the for mentioned Under 17 Men’s team scoring on the day. Where as, P.A.C. had full teams in all the Female age groups with once again 3 teams in the U13 Girls and 2 teams in the Junior/ Senior/ Vet Ladies.
