P.A.C had 23 Athletes supported by their families, friends and coaches making up a party of 50 people who all enjoyed their 2 day trip down to Devon to compete and watch the South of England Cross Country Championships.
On a very cold bright sunny morning that warmed during the day many of the athletes enjoyed their run on a very hilly and undulating course but had dry conditions underfoot.
There were many fine performances from everyone with a top five finish for Daniel Pettit in the Under 20 men and a top twenty finish for Richard Pawlak in the Under 15 Boys. There were two teams represented, the Under 13 Girls who came 12 th and the Senior Women who came 19 th. Unfortunately the Under 20 Men’s team were a man short after Glen Watts had to pull out of running in the race after travelling down the day before only to spend all night being sick in his hotel room and thus only being a spectator. Looking at the overall results and where all the teams came, if Glen had been able to run P.A.C. would have probably gained a silver medal on the day.
